ANKLE BRACELETS : Secondly, I agree that ankle bracelets don't necessarily need to be goldor silver - I have some made of shells and some of beads and even a fewmade of silk cord - whatever strikes your fancy. This is a fun deal -not important formal jewelry, y'know.Finally, as with everything, there are those who mess the whole deal upbecause they lack a sense of appropriateness. IMHO, ankle bracelets arenot meant to be worn at the office - they're leisure time items. Beachstuff. Out-and-about stuff. On the town stuff. At my place of work,where "casual chic" is the operative style, ankle bracelets look out ofplace, even to me. One woman persists with wearing a gold one over (eek!)sheer black hose, except when she wears one made of voodoo beads shepicked up on a visit to New Orleans recently. Yikes!!! Get a grip!!
ANKLE BRACELETS : I'd have to agree that an ankle bracelet looks better with minimalistic dress (ie. flats, sandles, or bare feet). I have actually noticed ankle bracelets on people and have yet to see one on a person wearing high heels or any such atire and can't imagine it actually looking that good. I find that ankle bracelets on bare outherwise "unintresting" ankles are VERY atractive. Of course I'm more of a purist than some people and believe that one should not unnesisarly adorn oneself. I find people who have the natural look the most apealing. Sandles are VERY atractive (especialy during a Montreal winter ;)). Bare feet are atractive also. I can't see anyone in their right mind sugesting that a person wear high heals with an ankle bracelet. I supose I must be among the minority here (of course from what I've seen here about ankle bracelets I seem to be among the majority).

Very interesting results:Two jewelry shops here in Queens, NY said it was a lefty/righty thing; wheremost left-handed women prefer their right ankles as opposed to their left,and vice versa. They went on to back their claim by using[wristwatch-wearing] as a parallel. The other four gave me their personalchoice as the answer, which didn't help me at all. I could've just sat hereand flipped a coin four times, instead of calling them, ya know? : /Anyhow, as a left-handed woman, I [ironically] do prefer to wear them on myright ankle. At the same time, I wear a wristwatch on my left wrist. Gofigure!
