BABY BRACELETS : I like what the writers are doing with this storyline, it has been the mostinteresting one so far along with Chloe, Nancy and Craig.__________________________________ __________________-This story is ridiculous and has only succeeded in making the hospital lookmore imcompetent. The writers take the easy way out to make things happenand have made no attempt to ground any of the details of the storyline. Iwish the whole idea had failed and that was the story. The nurses shouldconfess their confusion and discover the fraudulent baby bracelets when themagic ink stops working.________________________________ _____________Tell the viewers that Abe is Brandon's father in the next few days.___________________________________ __________________The story had no merit, it was an accident and really has no where to gowith any believability.__________________________ _________________________________I don't really care whether they get into this story or not. This is one ofthe given facts as to why the fued goes on and the writers have remainedfaithful to it although I think in any other situation someone would haveshot Stephano dead a long time ago.____________________________________ __________-
BABY BRACELETS : Just tell the viewers that Bo is the father, have Marlo's sperm donor showup and demand his rights to his baby after Marlo tells Lexie about the babyswitch and then let Lexie get pregnant by Abe.No kidding. I mean Marlo and Baby Carver are released and Hope and Baby Bradyare still there. That makes no sense, esp when Hope wasn't the one whoflatlinedHope almost starved and went through an ordeal...so they would keep theinfant and Hope is only staying to be with the baby.This question isn't just for Jerry but the whole newsgroup. Do youthink the fact that we are not surprised by story lines and we know whatwill happen stems from the availability of spoilers? I do read spoilersfor all my soaps except Passions, and I have to admit, I enjoy Passionsthe most. Or, perhaps it is just bad writing. Comments?

DOOL is so predictable, they reuse their storylines over andover and over again that you know what is going to happen before you even readthe spoiler, at least IMOAmySee updated pictures of my daughter and my familyI do not read spoilers as a rule. Have you noticed that most of Stephanoor Rolf's plan proceed without any problems, even when Rolf dropped the testtube it did not seem to make any difference to the story? They control thestory from day to day and it really makes the story less than interesting.What is the point of telling people exactly what is going to happen for thenext few days and then subject the viewers to seeing the details unfold invery unrealistic terms. It would be a writing challenge to make the eventsunfold without Rolf's magic tricks. Most of the time their solution is aneasy way out like the magic ink on the bracelets. Is this suppose to befunny or camp or whatever word is used for what is clever these days? Thewriters solutions are always cheezy solutions. What are the odds of twobabies being born minutes apart and looking identical? This is what you hadto swallow to even get into this story.
BABY BRACELETS : I think that's an excellent point, Dana. I read the spoiler about Marlofalling down the stairs yesterday by accident and it ruined the whole show forme because I kept waiting for it to happen and when it did it was no surprize.Even without spoilers, there's always so much speculation here that someone isbound to guess what's going to happen and then it's hashed to death. Indefense of the writers, I think we have to cut them a little slack because ofthis. Trust me, I'm not saying they're Nobel Prize quality but, think aboutit, they have to write 40 minutes of story five days a week. That's a prettytough thing to do.I have no problem with the way they write dialog. If indeed every word theactors speak is written, then they do an admirable job. There are lots ofways to make the overall stories more interesting. One simple way would beto read this newsgroup or ask the actors playing the parts. Speeding up thestoryline wouldn't affect how much they write, just what they write. I wishwe could get some feedback from one of the writers at some point rather thanthe politically correct comments that seem to be stated by the powers thatbe. I would think that a better use of spoilers would be to suggestsomething that might happen rather than stating that tomorrow Marlo is dead.I guess some people just can't stand not knowing what is going to happentomorrow.
