BAMBOO BEADS : Am searching for "bamboo" beads. They are tubes like the size of buglebeads and have joints at the ends and middle sometimes. Only found them inVancouver B.C. but I want more and did not realize they were rareWe have a Hobby Lobby in LaCrosse Wi. Not real impressive bead wise. I started to sift through to theburied envelope when she snatched it all back out of my hand again. Istared at her. "Cassie? What are you trying to pull?""It's nothing but a goddam overdue notice from the library." She stared atme, holding it behind her back. "I'll take care of it."

And that's what I told her as I got aroundher and grabbed the mail again. I had to keep turning my back to her so shecouldn't get it. When I found the envelope, I tore it open, and sureenough, there was the title of a book. *Yachts and Sailing*. I looked up ather as she snapped the notice from my hand:"It's got my name on it! What's with the 'Yachts' and goddam 'Sailing'?What do you mean it's yours?""I . . . we . . . we went to the library and he . . . ""He? He who? What 'he'? Cassie, I'm getting very goddam . . .""He's that English guy I told you about, that engineering student at work,the guy from Oxford. The one I wanted you to meet but . . . "
