CRYSTAL BEADS : Seeking source of Austrian crystal beads. Wholesale. Quantity.Exceptional quality only. Please state colors, sizes, cuts, quantitiespossible.Try Shipwreck Beads in Olympia. I had the address and itmay still be posted here, but I can't find it, so get a copyof the magazine Ornament--they have an ad in there. Orcall 1-360-555-1212 for Olympia, Washington and ask fortheir address. They have an astonishing array of top-qualityaustrian crystal beads. General Bead in San Diego alsohas them--I am not certain of the price in either place. Youcan get their address out of the back (advertising) sectionof Ornament Magazine, or you can call directory assistancefor San Diego. Works for me, anyway. The best source I know of is Tarnov Company in Arcadia, in NorthernCalifornia. Please call directory assistance to get number or emailme tomorrow and I will bring it to work with me. Good luck.
CRYSTAL BEADS : I have for sale on eBay two different crystal bead lots which I got at anestate sale. The first is a lot of 230+ clear Crystal beads of various shapesand sizes. Please check these out. ThanksBrian remove no spam from email to replyI have had a look at your jewellery, and although I do appreciate that youneed to sell these items, perhaps it would be more helpful to only placeemails about your auctions, if you have pieces of special/unusual interest. This email is not aimed at you personally, I have just joined thisnewsgroup, and am interested in what I thought would be a use ful site - Itsure is, but there are too many messages from people trying to sell theirthings. I look at ebay regularly and I expect most other users do. do wereally need to spend our time to look at the same things several times? CRYSTAL BEADS : I'm new to this business and am having a hard time finding fancy crystalbeads and findings at a reasonable price. Does anyone know of a good sourcefor both simple and very elaborate crytal beads? By elaborate, I meansomething that looks like a little disco ball - crystals on all sides.I'm currently paying $2.50 for the ones I'm using and would welcome any helpin finding another source. On Wed, 12 Apr 2000 23:16:26 -0700, Jacquelyn Harkness wrote:There was just a thread on rec.crafts.beads about who has Swarovski crystal beads in stock these days. Several suppliers were mentioned. Pop over there and have a look, or search DejaNews (Click on search Discussions, Click on Power Search, fill in rec.crafts.beads in the Forum blank, fill in the Keywords withsource, supplier, crystals [and whatever else you want to look for] and click on search. CRYSTAL BEADS : For finding sources, I'd start with a copy of _Lapidary Journal_ or _Bead and Button Magazine_ (sometimes I sit down with one just to read the ads, and drool over all the luscious beads)For finding sources ONLINE, I'd start here: Look under Resources.or here: Look under Shopping (scroll down on the left hand side. This site has good diagrams of the faceted crystal beads:I've done business fairly regularly with both Shipwreck Beads and Fire Mountain Gems and find the prices reasonable and the staff courteous and helpful.I have the print catalogs, and prefer them for browsing. They were the first folks I dealt with, and I like them, so I'm still dealing with them. This does not mean they are better than anyone else. YMMV *Your Mileage May Vary* CRYSTAL BEADS : Well, I went to a conference in Reno last month, at the Hilton (whichwas the Bally after it was the MGM Grand) and I made the mistake ofgoing into the crystal shop in the shopping arcade. I did manage torestrain myself to only buying one necklace, bracelet, and pair ofearrings, but there were a lot more that I really wanted. These were all made of lead or silver crystal, with large, facetedbeads. The set that I bought is made mostly of almost cubes that areabout 1 cm. I also have about 10 pairs of earrings of the same typeof crystal, in hearts, cubes, and balls (these are stud earrings, notbeads, but it's the same material).I've also seen a lot of little crystal animals made by the samepeople. Assuming that you know what I mean, please tell me what it is andwhere I can get these beads. The set I got cost hundreds of dollarsand I'm sure that stringing them myself would save me a considerablefraction of this. (I do, of course, realize that quality materialsaren't cheap, but my labor would be.) There were so many beautifulthings in that shop that I know I could make, if I just had a goodsource for the materials.
