DOUBLE HOLE BEADS : "Traditional" worry beads/prayer beads/malas have various cords, dependant onthe culture they come from.Japanese malas (Buddhist) "traditionally" have a braided cord of human hair,but is usually made of synthetic fiber today (not silk-- silk means killingcritters). The cord starts through a small cone shaped bead, goes up throughthe 't-shape" holed bead, around the rest of the beads twice, and then backthrough the t-hole and cone. The malas do not fit as a bracelet-- they shouldfit over the palms of your hands put together; stretchy ones are popular now,since they're a lot easier to keep track of.KayteeThanks so much! I've done searches and explored most of Sooz' infamous links to noavail.For a two-holed, flat bead, try the vintage bead sources on the list.
