EYEBROW RINGS : So, we sit down and like, a couple minutes later I see this other guy I knewand I jump up and run over to give him a hug and I come back, not a minute ortwo later, and I hear these two women talking about piercing andtattooing--now, bear in mind, all of my piercings are visible facial piercings[3 eyebrow rings and a lip ring]. So I just look at Ryan and smirk and kind oflaugh and go, "oh no, I feel something coming". Then she looks over at me and says, "Looking at you makes me hurt". I said,"uhm, I'm sorry?". She said, "Especially your eyebrow rings. Those hurt themost." I said, "Actually, they were practically painless. The lip wasn't muchworse", and she just shuddered. Then she said, "You know when you get olderyou're going to have a gaping hole under your lip." I said, "Actually, it'llprobably heal over quite nicely and only look like a tiny blemish or scar". She said, "oh. Well, don't get in a fight or anything. Somebody will rip itout." I said, "Don't worry. I don't fight. I think girls that fight arereally backwoodsy, and besides, I'm not a violent person". And she kind oflooked at me and said, "How old ARE you?" I said, "I'm 18 thank you very much. And now, if you wouldn't mind, you're disrupting my friend's meal and ourdiscussion. Good bye". And she shut up. I was like, 'Augh'.
EYEBROW RINGS : I got my eyebrow pierced today, and I was wondering if any of you knowany coasters that prohibit eyebrow rings? I know, for a fact, that youcan't wear them on The Joker's Jinx (or "any other piercings above theneck" -- I guess SFA fears you might turn your head and it'll ripout?) Anywho, I have my ways of getting around this . I'm justwondering if any other coasters have this nuisance? What aboutPoltergeist?Did ya ever get the urge to grab one of these rings and yank it?I always want to hang things on them - cast iron skillets or pipewrenches come to mind. I got mine on the left side, butwith eye rings, you can do which ever side ya fancy. Now earrings isanother story ! I came SO close to getting my tongue pierced, inaddition to my brow, yesterday, but I didn't want to deal with all theupkeep for a month -- ice chips, Listerine every hour, Gly-Oxide threetimes a day, etc. I think tongue rings are OH SO sexy, though! Myfriend, Katie, got hers done on senior week, and ever since I've seenhers, I want one bad!
EYEBROW RINGS : it really depends on the manager. Generally, eyebrow rings tend to notbe too much of a problem, they are becoming increasingly popular.However, if the manager is really anal, you won't get away with it...if you already work there, approach him/her and ask the company'spolicy on piercing. when going for an interview, take it out and putin a retainer, not so much because of the public relations part of it(like stocking the back room, for example) but you want to make a goodimpression on the person hiring you, and the first impression willdetermine whether you are considered for the job or dropped on sight.if they like you, then everything you say, they will make it positive(sub-consiously). if they don't like you, no matter how good you do inthe interview, most of your answers will seem negative. after you getthe job, ask the employer about their policy on piercing. make sureyou ask and don't just show up the next day with a ring in your face,you still want to make good impressions the first week.
EYEBROW RINGS : Hello all, I have a quick question. I shave most of my eyebrows except for astarting point and then normally draw a thin line with eye pencil. Myboyfriend is a body piercer and is trying to convince me to get an eyebrowpiercing. I'm not so sure this will look right mainly because of the lack ofeyebrows for placement? I like that I can draw my eyebrows whatever shape Ilike but if I get a piercing, I don't think I will be able to. I think itmight look a bit off if I pencil my eyebrows in anywhere above the piercingitself. (Am I making any sense?) Any suggestions or info.? Thanks!I knew this question sounded familar, so I did a Deja search and cameup with a thread from last August. The poster had the opposite problemthough; a pierced eyebrow and the desire to start shaving them.
EYEBROW RINGS : The only advice I can give is this: Don't let anyone talk you intogetting a piercing unless you -really- want it (in which case theyaren't really talking you into it). Especially on your face forgoodness sake, in a place where a scar would be so obvious.I'm biased, though, because I think eyebrow piercings are weird andunnatural[1] in general.[1] In the sense that there aren't really two sides there, like with anearlobe or a tongue. It's just one of my arbitrary judgements.hehe... I personally like MOST eyebrow piercings but not nose... But I say mostbecause I saw this girl the other day and she had two eyebrows.. they weren'ton the outer edges but on the inside... by the nose... sorta like a V on herface. It just weirded me out... I don't know... Even though I don't like thenose it doesn't give me the same reaction as that did.
