FEATHER EARRINGS : Can anyone tell me where I can find a source of good quality feathers? The ones I'm finding in the craft stores are not very good( about half of the package being garbage). Thank you for your help. Penelope.If you want rather "natural" looking things, you may be able to find pheasantskins and the like in catalogs that cater to those doing Native Americancrafts. If you want brights, why not ask around on rec.pets.birds, and see if someoneis willing to do a swap when their parrots next molt? I certainly wouldn'tmind recycling my pets' "old clothes"! ;)I am looking for special findings to make feather earrings. I bought a pair of earrings which had a coiled section, - the ends of the feathers were enclosed in it, possibly with a dab of glue - topped with a hoop for attaching to the french hoop. FEATHER EARRINGS : large peacock feathers. The only good source I can think of for those is a peacock farm. Saw, file, sand.- Make and solder an earring post in the middle of the tubing.- Glue feather into the tubing.- Write and send me a check for $5.- for every pair of earrings yousell.
