It's the most widely known and accepted one going. Internationally renowned too.They also sometimes market them through the WRVS shops in hospitals. If I was buying one I'd check there first as the profit might help them.
ID BRACELETS : Yep,I wear an SOS talisman. If the seal goes then they will never readthe insert with all your details. My main reason is so that ifsomeone finds me ill or hurt in some way they will realise that thereis something wrong with me that they need to consider. My wallet hasthe "I use insulin" insert in the window.The SOS talismans start from about £12 for the stainless steel version(that I would recommend). The Medic Alert system is clever too. Theykeep a record of your details and you pay a subscription. If a medic/ doctor finds you wearing it they can contact medic alert who willfurnish your details. ID BRACELETS : A friend of mine just got some enamel medical emblems with stickybacks that are really nifty. They are called Lifetags.They sell them on YahooHas anyone ever heard of them or used them?I don't like the standard ID bracelets because it seems some people atthe office treat me differently at the office when they know about mycondition. It's almost as though they automatically think I needsympathy or I'm less capable to do my job.Lifetag says you can discreetly put their medical emblems on yourdrivers license, medical insurance card or current watch withoutbuying or wearing new jewelry. They also recommend decals for myautomobile in case of an accident.I have always wear a chain & med tag rather than a bracelet. You can alsochoose to wear a gold chain with a med tag on it. It really looks good anddoes not attract attention like you seem to indicate.

Because they're small durable red andblack pendants that can be fastened to just about anything, watchband,keys, drivers license. ID BRACELETS : I would wear a neckchain , because it can be hidden until needed . It pains me to say it, but I have to agree with snozzy here, you dosound like you are trying to advertise a product rather than engage indiabetic support. Plus it doesn't really sound like a very good idea. I'm sure most of us have a dm card in our wallets or purses, and some anecklace or bracelet. Why would we want to buy stickers to cover up ourwatches, I have enough difficulty seeing the numbers now. It would beeven harder if I were to put stickers over it. And If I stuck one on mydriver's license, the police would probably tell me off.They're a pretty ugly crowd here and I would suggest you don't tanglewith them. Perhaps, best go stick the decals on your car, eh?My understanding is that medical personnel are trained to look for necklacesand bracelets. I suppose putting the emblem on a watch would work, but I'veseen these and they are not unobtrusive enough for me.
