JEWELRY HOOP : We don't know the gauge sizes quite yet (we need to copy the gauge atthe tattoo shop we're going to show at), and we never considered thepossibility (until someone else mentioned it) of making stuff for a 2gpiece. The problem there is the size of the clasp may detract from thejewelry itself. Shall we assume that 22g (1/8” perhaps?) is a standardsize for most ear piercings? I finally drove them nuts enuf that they relented(my mother had gotten hers pierced by then, too). The condition was thatthey would only let me have them pierced if they let my pediatrician piercethem. It felt very strange to go to the doctor to get my ears pierced, butat least I got them done at 12 instead of 16 :)Hey Kath! I got mine pierced by our family doctor. AND it was when Iwas 12. LOL! But it is customary in the Ukraine, and I'm glad tohave her partake in her mother's culture.my daughters got thier ears pierced at the age of two- the ice cube andneedle and circle of string... and then a earring that could not come out-an endless hoop I designed for them, worked well until they were old enoughto have earrings with backs that came off-I waited to pierce my oldest daughters ears because her birth father did notwant her ears pierced as a baby- at two she was begging for pretties in herears and did not care if it hurt- I told her it would hurt. she wanted them"pretty" anyhow- both of my daughters have still pierced ears and sis wentto have a second hole done at the jewelers- a friend we have there did themfor her...I had to wait until I was 18 and off to college for my first piercing- andthen at 25 did two more and at 27 had two more to make 5 on both ears- andat 30 a friend gave me one more piercing high up on one ear so I could weara hoop there for when my hair was real short( or when it was real long for afew years- I pullled it up into a roll)I will still design earrings to go with most of my necklaces- and oftenrings and bracelets and sometimes pins too- for me I like things to gotogether if possible- some of my past clients do like the set of jewelrylook...my favorite jewelry is finger rings- and a nice bracelet on my left hand- Iquit wearing bracelets on my right side because when I am using the mousethe bracelets hurt...smiles, susie g
