JEWELRY PINS : World War Free is the proposed global intellectual ‘game’ to inspire thecreative forces within all of us. It can be ‘fought’ by artists, common people,adults, and children. All is what’s needed is a medium, a way to communicateour creative abilitiesIntroducing Creative Spirits Pins......The Pins for a Global Creative CultureMen and woman have worn jewelry, pins, and other ornaments on their body andclothes for thousands of years. Nearly every culture, originating from tribaldoctrines, has defined a set of jewelry symbols for its people to wear anddefine themselves. This is true of Western and Eastern cultures: the cross forChristians, the star of David for Jews, the moon for Moslems, the Yin-Yang forTaoists, the rainbow flag and pink triangle for Gays, African tribal beads... the list is endless.
JEWELRY PINS : But what of alternative culture? What worldwide symbol do _creative_,expressive, young-minded men and women who champion creativity wear? Perhapssymbols from their culture, perhaps the encircled and slashed ‘A’, or perhapssymbols from other cultures, like the Egyptian Ankh. Symbols bring a community together. The alternative scene could similarlyadopt symbols to build its community. Creative Spirits is my suggested symbolfor a community which is highly creative. I designed Creative Spirits with theend-goal of bringing creative people closer together, hence, they are also“friendship” pins. By the alternative culture is a community of intelligent, young-minded men andwomen who champion creativity and free-expression. They are the people whoplay musical instruments, sing, read poetry, write poetry, read fascinatingliterature, paint, tell stories and jokes, piece together sculptures, enjoyart, and overall create their own form of beauty from life and deathsituations. These pins are called “Creative Spirits” after that spirit.

The sides of the Yelid pin arepainted with black and white combinations to indicate the four differentcategories of outer cups for bezels, plus the two extra outer cups are paintedwhite and black: white indicating the top of the pin.The Yeldah pin is set of rounded combinations of bezel (circular bead)-holdingcircles and other small circles. The Yeldah pin projects feminine qualitiessuch as beauty, unity, and comfort. There are 7 seats for the insertion ofrounded bezels. The sides of the Yeldah pin are painted with black and whitecombinations to indicate the four different categories of outer cups forbezels, plus the two extra outer cups are painted white and black: whiteindicating the top of the pin.

The wearerinserts a particular colored bezel (from a large set of available bezels) whichstands for a certain mood, skill or action.A Creative Sprits pin is decorative, as well as a functional: it allows aperson to express how they feel that day, what their creative talents lie, andhow strongly they are promoting their creative work. A Creative Spirits pinchanges as its owner changes mood and creative focus.1. The single inner seat takes bezels that reflect a person’s current moodthat day. Perhaps its a red bezel to symbolize anger, perhaps it is a purplebezel that indicates the person feels special, perhaps it is a black bezel toindicate feeling something very deep, or perhaps its a light green bezel tosymbolize feeling happy.
