LAVENDER JADE EARRINGS : I'll try to keep this under control and not too hideously long. I'llprobably fail.So, two weeks ago (right before C6) I went on my company "retreat" inVancouver, BC. Although I spent most of the four days either locked ina hotel meeting room or having food with my co-workers, I did find a fewhours to shop (oh, did I ever!) and indulge myself in the generaldowntown/Granville St/Chinatown area.Wore: I had to pack for four days of meetings in a pretty fancy hoteland three fairly ritzy dinners, in one small bag that I could haularound easily (we went up and back on the train). Thank the gods forcotton knits--I was able to dress nicely without taking much space inthe bag or worrying about ironing. Took two long fit-and-flareprincess-seamed dresses (one black & short sleeved, the othergray-lavender and long sleeved), a purple top & skirt set (top LS &scoopneck, skirt calf-length), a black cable knit tunic sweater, longblack A-line skirt, plum V-neck tank, Lane Bryant black velvet burnoutshirt, and long straight plum panne skirt. Also two pairs of boots(calf-high lace-up square toe, and zip-up ankle-high with buckles) and apair of chunky-heel oxfords. Makeup was usual face stuff (foundation,loose powder, concealor), Rimmel "Slow Motion" shadow duo, black liner &mascara, Garden Botanika "Amulet" lippie, agnes b. "Frosted Violet"lippie, Milani "Black Berri" lippie. For jewelry, I took a bunch ofAngelwear Creations stuff: the silver & amethyst "Sticks & Stones"necklace and earrings, silver & onyx "spiderweb" necklace, lavender jade& silver dragon pendant, silver kanji-character earrings, onyx, silverwire & purple freshwater pearl pendant, oval onyx & silver earrings withpurple pearl drops, onyx and amethyst studs; plus the gunmetal & purplecrystal necklace I got in the last Xmas swap and gunmetal hoops withpurple glass beads. I just mixed & matched all this stuff depending onthe outfit, the event, and how much walking I needed to do.
LAVENDER JADE EARRINGS : Shopping: Initially it didn't look like I'd have much time to myself,so I swore that if nothing else happened, I'd make it to Lush. Withinhalf an hour of getting there, I'd toddled off to Robson St to fulfillthat vow. I was stocking up for myself and the boi, and buying somegoodies for another a.g.fer, so I spent *plenty*. Got:--Large bottle of Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo--Two large bottles of Coolaulin conditioner--Two Soak & Float bars each for me & boi--Celestial sensitive-skin moisturizer--Cosmetic Lad moisturizer for boi--Dust to Dust body powder--T for Toes powder for boi--Bathbombs: "Big Blue" for boi, "Pooh Stix" for myself& yummy stuff for Dindrane, who will have to wait till the package comesto know what I bought her. :)After barnstorming through that, I wandered up Robson a bit longer, andstopped for lunch; but I was supposed to meet up with Angela, fromAngelwear Creations, and needed to get in touch with her, so I headedback towards the hotel, stopping on the way at Cotton Ginny and pickingup, on clearance, a long straight skirt and scoopneck 3/4-sleeve top ina dusty lilac cotton knit. Then I went back to the hotel and tried tocall Angela, without luck. Stuck with three more hours to kill, Icalled my friend Jeff and asked him for ideas on where to go, and herecommended wandering up Granville St. So, after calling Angela again(this time reaching her voice mail), I did just that.
