NECKLACES CORD LEATHER : As for the earrings, I haven't done that. My first few necklaces were made from kits that included earring supplies, but I really didn't enjoy the earrings much. The biggest reason I got involved with beading is because I'm housebound and, quite frankly, bored a lot of the time, so the necklaces give me a lot of satisfaction -- the planning and then the actual stringing. Earrings only take a minute to do and so I haven't bothered. If someone really wanted matching earrings, I wouldn't object to making them, but I just haven't done it yet. Probably not very good business sense, eh?? :) Thanks so much for the help!! I really appreciate any advice people have. Not to mention the fact that I'm looking forward to getting my order from your company -- did you know it was me??? :) :) What a deal -- not only do I get to order from you, but I get helpful ideas too! :-) Thanks again.

It's lampwork and Bali on 2mm black leather cord.It needs to be as elegant and finished looking as I can make it withleather, which I think is possible. Maybe those cone thingies at the ends?Do you then put like and S-hook or toggle on the cones?--Join my Mailing List: I have NEW BEADS up on eBay: Currently Available: TEDDY BEAR KITS!: I make my ends for leather with a length of wire and a hook and eyeclasp... you could get gold or sterling wire for it- or buy prefinished endsyou use pliers to squeeze over the ends of the leather- they cut into it tosecure it, saw somewhere a leather or maybe it was rubber cording with a 14kt gold end and lobster clasp... have you seen what has in the wig jig university for ideas?????sounds like a really cool necklace....smiles, susie g

You could make a nice sterling coil end, with a loopfor a S-clasp to attach on both ends. I used ready made findingsyears ago, however, sterling silver would be much more classy thansilverplated. You would just use thick sterling silver (half hard)wire, wrap it around maybe a coat hanger (similar to the thickness ofthe leather), pinch the one coiled end closed tight against theleather, after you thread the leather through the coiled loop (maybe1/4" long). The other end bend the coil wire outward to form a loopto hook onto the S-clasp. I should write a lesson with diagrams orPICs, this came out long enough:>) Was this too confusing? Dar(ACJewels)
NECKLACES CORD LEATHER : Obviously none of you FISH with fishing line, LMAO. It also breaks duringfishing!! I don't know why it breaks, it just does.Use Soft-Touch or Soft-Flex, doesn't break, doesn't crimp as easily as TigerTail.You're right. The only fishing I do is dip netting my yearly supply ofsalmon. Fishing to me is harvesting. No patience for the sport, though I'dlike to supplement the salmon with a halibut. If I just want to hang out bythe water, I'd rather just sit there and bead.When I go camping with my son and his friends , they fish, I bead. Thatevening I help them eat the catch. They asked me to try to find some beadsthat looked like eggs to use as bait. They thought that it might be lessexpensive than those little jars. Might be fun to try but, this is notreally high on my to do list.
