NOMINATIONS CHARM BRACELETS : I still wear my Nominations/Zoppini bracelets too, and one is totally fulland the second has about 5 regular charms and the rest are a row of pinkhearts. Mine'sfilled up with stuff related to my kids and such, and it was a gift from myhusband, and I've been working on it for so long that I'd hate to just give itup. You see knockoffs of them everywhere now, though--seems like there's akiosk in every mall and even Walgreens has them. MelanieI had never heard of slide bracelets, until I moved to the deepsouth. I'm of the opinion that if you really like something you shouldwear it, whether it's in or out.

I remember those, had a necklace like that when I wasa teenager. I don't have it anymore, or I'd dig it out in honor of thethread. I liked mine, I didn't have that many beads for it though.The Zoppini bracelets only recently entered my awareness. I saw them ina shop, and a week or two later, I had lunch with a friend and she waswearing one. I thought they were kind of new, boy am I outta the loop. Ialso though they were pretty cool, much more wearable than the charmbracelets like the one I have, which snags on everything. I've lost acouple charms on that one cause they have caught on things and broken.Wouldn't have that issue with the Zoppinis.

The only full-length cartoon ever nominated for an Academy Awardfor best picture will follow the studio's success with Fantasia 2000, whichgrossed more than $50 million and was one of IMAX's most profitable films.--For the first time ever, prolific horror scribe Stephen King has penned ascreenplay based on another writer's book. King has written a film adaptationof Patrick McGrath's 1998 novel Asylum for Paramount Pictures, Variety reportedWednesday. The story is set in an English insane asylum, where thesuperintendent's wife has an affair with a patient who turns out to be amurderer. Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson plan to star with Jonathan Demmedirecting. King wrote the script for several movie adaptations of his books,including Pet Sematary and The Stand. Several other screenwriters also tried toadapt Asylum, so it's unclear how the final script credit will read.

During a British TVinterview, Debbie Mathers-Briggs said her suit stemmed from derogatory remarksabout her in the rapper's song lyrics, but she was unaware that her legalaction could cost him $10 million. Asked if she'll drop the case, she said:"That's something we're seriously thinking about — we're working on it."

Rock's newfilm, which opens nationwide Feb. 16, is a remake of Warren Beatty's 1978"Heaven Can Wait" and that film's 1941 predecessor, "Here Comes Mr. Jordan." Heplays a stand-up comic who is accidentally killed and then returns in the bodyof an aging, rich white guy.
