SEMI PRECIOUS BEADS : I've noticed a bit of, umm, negativity toward Fire Mountain Gems in acouple threads. I just got an order in from them a few days ago andwas quite pleased with everything (findings and beads). Some stuffthey have is a bit on the pricey side, but other stuff is way belowwhat I would pay at my local bead store.So what's the problem? Is their merchandize generally of low quality?Did I just get lucky with my first order? I'm curious, because I'mabout to place another order...Cat,I order from FMG and have had good service and good products. Mailorder companies have their own followers and dissenters just like"Real" bead shops. It doesn't seem that one bead shop or mailordercompany has the best price on everything they sell and all seem to havedifferent selections. Variety is the spice of life!
SEMI PRECIOUS BEADS : I ditto your post. I've had excellent luck with FMG. Their customerservice folks truly are the friendliest in the business (that I've comeacross, anyway). They ship their orders promptly, and I've always beenhappy with every purchase I've made from them.The first time I ever ordered from FMG, I put the wrong stock number on oneitem. The lady who called me took about 15 minutes to make sure I would geteverything that I wanted (and called on their day phone rates, too!) I'vesince spoken with several FMG people, and every one has, without exception,been wonderful. Granted, some products may be a little more expensive than Imight get elsewhere, but I'd rather have a good relationship with mysuppliers than save a nickel or two.
