SWAROVSKI BEADS 5000 : Hobby Lobby prices are making this seem an expensivehobby. I love things that glitter. But the 8 mm roundfaceted beats are $1 a bead, I sure can't afford anecklace of them. One dozen 8mm Lt. Rose round (#5000) Swarovski's at my LBS retailedfor $6.95. That's what I bought to use in the necklace I made withKandice's Sweet Thing beads. At the same time, I got 1/2 gross (72) of5mm bicones (#5301) which retailed for $12.95. Not cheap, but better than your $1 per bead. Especially when the oddsare they are something less than Swarovski. Does the label have acountry of origin listed?The best prices are going to be found by buying in quantity. But whileyou are experimenting to figure out what you like to work with,'sample' size quantities are likely to be steep in price.
