WATCHES INVICTA : Dennis,The Invicta 21 jewel sub is probably the most watch for the money of any Ihave seen, I don't know if I would compare to Rolex, but for >$3,000 cheaperhow can you complain. WATCHES INVICTA : Yes, thanks, I know, and I've done that. I've gone to afew online retailers, and some appear better than others.However, I'm looking for a) some brick-and-mortar storethat sells Invicta watches so that I may actually seeone before buying, and b) a complete catalog of Invictasavailable for sale.All I know about these watches is some have mechanicalmovements, and they're relatively inexpensive. If youdo a search on invicta "torture test" on google,you'll find a couple sites with people who successfullydetermined their watches were pretty reliable. See:I just got an invicta 8926 for less than $100. I got mine at shop NBC for $89with free shipping. I got $10 off for being a first time shopper. It is thesubmariner type model. It is gorgeous. I have a bunch of auto seikos that Ibought for very little. However, this is definitely my favorite. I has a myotamovement which is the counterpart of the seiko 7s26 and the basic ETA movment.These movements are known for being simple and working forever with almost nomaintenance.
WATCHES INVICTA : I bought one worrying only about the finish. It is absoulutely gorgeous. Youwill not go wrong, at least with this model. I also wanted to see one beforebuying, but I decided to risk it. You will not be dissapointed. You can go to the poor man's watch forum to see reviews of invictasThanks Andres. I have a couple dive watches now, and whileI agree the Invictas do look very nice, I think my nextpurchase will be a more formal dress watch. I'm glad yournew acquisition is to your liking!The case on the Invicta diver watch is fantastic Super solid....a little heavy.The works are Miyota. Good watch for the price.There's a "where-to-buy" link on that site, which states that major department stores (e.g., Macy's and Bloomingdale's) carry their watches. You can also call 866-Invicta and ask them for a location.
