I don'tlike dangly type things, they drive me nuts - so this was a perfect option for me!The neat thing with these italian style bracelets is that as you add charms to it,you remove the plain ones. Save enough of the plain ones and you are on your wayto another bracelet ... or can use them as a gift for someone else. I think myextras may be passed on to my niece whose birthday is in a few weeks.

Asmaller charm and then a different one for 10% and one for goal weight etc.KristineI purchased from several different online sources, also are becoming more widelyavailable in local jewelry and gift stores. Prices vary immensely, so do someinvestigating! There are a few online stores that you can get charms for about $5each ... others that carry the name brand charms/bracelets tend to run anywherefrom $15-$30 each.There are many more sites around, these are the ones I've looked over. Just do asearch for *italian charm bracelets*. I believe my first order was placed atheavenly treasures because they offered a free bracelet with the purchase of anycharm. The above sites also carried charms that were the same form as the zoppinistyle - something to keep in mind. Disney has their own line, but the charms hookonto my bracelet being upside down ... hard to explain until you see how they fittogether, but is something to keep in mind when starting out.
ZOPPINI BRACELETS : Hello,I saw these at Robinson-May and nowhere else. I'm wondering if they're justcoming out or are they on their way out? They're the plain leather or plasticstrap bracelet (looks like a belt) with initials and charms you slide on/off. Yep, and I've seen them at Nordstrom, etc. Last weekend I got a band andsilver cz charms all on sale at a local dept. store (Gottschalks)! The bandis a red pebbly leather (almost croc looking) reversible to black, and thecharms are my initials and a heart (silver but not cz). I'm still wearingmy Zoppini bracelet pretty often, which is nearly full. I think those are notnearly as "in" as the slider bracelets but it's got sentimental value.Melanie

I feel better knowing I'm in such good company. Mine'sfilled up with stuff related to my kids and such, and it was a gift from myhusband, and I've been working on it for so long that I'd hate to just give itup. You see knockoffs of them everywhere now, though--seems like there's akiosk in every mall and even Walgreens has them. MelanieI had never heard of slide bracelets, until I moved to the deepsouth. I'm of the opinion that if you really like something you shouldwear it, whether it's in or out.

I don't have it anymore, or I'd dig it out in honor of thethread. I liked mine, I didn't have that many beads for it though.The Zoppini bracelets only recently entered my awareness. I saw them ina shop, and a week or two later, I had lunch with a friend and she waswearing one. I thought they were kind of new, boy am I outta the loop. Ialso though they were pretty cool, much more wearable than the charmbracelets like the one I have, which snags on everything. I've lost acouple charms on that one cause they have caught on things and broken.Wouldn't have that issue with the Zoppinis.
